lyrics

There’s a doll in the closet, sitting all alone, you see
Porcelain tears are falling, no one hears her calling “Help me.”
Nothing but the dust remains
As she fills up with the pain, of losing herself in the dark
And as she sits upon the shelf,
She starts to look within herself, then she finds a piece of her heart

So, as the door starts to open wide,
She sees the light and begins to sigh,
Then she’s lifted from the dark
And now she has a brand new start

She’s dusted off and in the light,
She’s looked upon by a face so bright
And now you know that she’s alright,
And now you know she’s a beautiful sight
There’s a doll on the bedspread, sitting in the morning’s light
Her porcelain face is smiling and everything is alright
Nothing but her love remains, starting at the window pane
Knowing that there’s no more night

Now that she is finally free,
To be who she was meant to be
Now she can go and fight

So as the door starts to open wide,
She sees the light and she decides

To live her life

about

Jenny Silsby Lansing Charter Township, Michigan

Singing is one of my biggest passions. I wouldn't be able to get through a day if I wasn't allowed to sing. It's a part of who I am, and who I am meant to be.
